This fun coffee is produced by Danny Moreno at the farm El Filo based in Santa Barbara, Honduras. We have had coffee from the Moreno family and the El Filo farm before. We have also come across some really tasty lots from Danny as far as before we even started roasting. This year we have bought his washed Pacas again and it is probably even more tasty than last season.
For us the coffees that we have bought and sampled from the producers from Santa Barbara have been outstanding in quality. This washed Pacas from Danny has all the key things we love about the flavour profile from Santa Barbara. Just really really well produced, clean, complex and tasty coffee.
We found this coffee to be very clean and bright. Tasting really sweet, like brown sugar, with notes of raspberries and prune paired with smooth mouthfeel and great complexity.
