Espresso Nano Challa - Ethiopia
This exciting coffee is produced by the Nano Challa Cooperative, together with around 400 small producers who grow their coffee cherries near the small town of Agaro, in the district of Gera in Jimma, Ethiopia. Nano Challa is famous for their high quality coffee and the name is a staple amongst many great roasters offer lists. We are very happy to have this lot from our importing partner Belco. We are roasting this lot for espresso only.
For us this coffee stands out as a really solid and balanced washed Ethiopian coffee. The flavour profile and the soft almost velvety mouthfeel made us decide to roast this coffee for espresso.
We found this coffee to be bright, juicy and aromatic. Tasting really sweet with notes of black tea like bitters paired with peach and stone fruits with bright citric acidity and floral notes too.
