Gitwe - Burundi
This exciting coffee is produced by the Long Miles Coffee Project and the small farmers from the local community near the Gitwe Hill in Kayanza, Burundi. These farmers in the area deliver their coffee cherries to the Heza Washing Station where the coffee is washed and dried.
This coffee is from our partner Long Miles Coffee Project based in Burundi. The Long Miles Coffee Project has been helping local coffee farming communities in Burundi to improve their coffee production, find access to the Specialty Coffee market and to have a better price paid for the coffee that they produce. We featured their Gitwe Hill lot in 2019 and are super happy to release this fantastic and juicy coffee from their 2021 harvest.

We found this coffee to be both very clean and bright. Tasting really crisp and sweet, with jammy notes of currants and grapes and red berries. Very expressive and fruit forward cup with some florals in the aroma. Good mouthfeel and great complexity.
