Los Pirineos Elite Bourbon
Very elegant Washed lot from Diego Baraona from Los Pirineos farm located on the top of the Tecapa volcano and in El Salvador. Sweet expression of milk chocolate, nougat and yellow fruit. Very sweet coffee with silky mouthfeel.
Elite Bourbon is a name that Diego Baraona's father Gilberto Baraona gave to the oldest of the Bourbon trees planted on the farm many years ago. These trees are believed to be some the oldest Bourbon trees in El Salvador.
Baraona family have long history of producing coffee, making Diego Baraona 5th generation coffee producer. Excellence in coffee quality really became a dedication for Gilberto Baraona who was dedicated to cultivating interesting varieties, meticulous processing methods and establishing Los Pirineos as a strong name in the world wide coffee market.
We have been fans of the Baraona family operations in El Salvador for years through work of the likes of Tim Wendleboe and other notable roasters. We are excited to explore the offerings of Los Pirineos in the seasons to come.
All our coffees are roasted for both filter and espresso.
