Mario Moreno - Honduras
This fun coffee is produced by Mario Moreno at the farm Los Andes based in Santa Barbara, Honduras. We have had coffee from the Moreno family and actually the Los Andes farm before. This lot is Pacas variety produced by Mario Moreno, brother to Danny Moreno who's coffee we have also bought for couple of years already.
For us the coffees that we have bought and sampled from the producers from Santa Barbara have been outstanding in quality. This washed Pacas from Mario has all the key things we love about the flavour profile from Santa Barbara. Just really really well produced, clean, complex and tasty coffee. What sets Mario's lot apart from his brother Danny's is the more creamy mouthfeel and distinct yellow fruits in cup.
We found this coffee to be very clean and bright. Tasting really sweet and aromatic and vanilla like, with notes of raspberries and yellow fruit paired with smooth mouthfeel and great complexity with pleasant creamy milk chocolate in the aftertaste.
