Nazimu Abamecha
This exciting coffee is produced by Nazimu Abamecha at his Guracho farm in Jimma, Ethiopia. Having had Nazimus coffee before a few times from our friends at Populus Coffee in Berlin we're happy to introduce this Guracho lot from Nazimu.
For us this coffee stood out with it's balanced profile yet bright lime like acidity and very tropical fruit forward profile.
Nazimu helped set up and worked 8 years managing a rather well known Duromina cooperative in Jimma. After inheriting his lush 8,5 hectare forest farm from his family he decided to go full on into producing high quality coffee on the farm under his own name. Picked, floated and dried on raised beds on the farm for 15-20 days in cherry before milling and resting for export.
We found this coffee to be sweet and bright. Notes of tropical fruits, mango, pineapple and nice sweet lime like acidity. Nice milk chocolate like sweet finish.
